SALT HISTORY
SALTeam Ministries leapt into action when the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. It was born out of a desire to bring the joy of the Gospel of Christ to people who so desperately longed for it. For years, teams of people shared their love of Christ with others, often through theatrical performances in Russia and Ukraine.
After many years, SALTeam transferred its focus to Haiti where teams of people went to be the hands and feet of Christ, serving in many capacities. Some specific areas of focus are: supporting education and a feeding program for the school, training on differentiated and sustainable agriculture, held business development sessions often meeting one on one with small business owners in the community and supported spiritual development programs for the pastors and educators in the schools.
Today SALTeam Ministries is actively working in Honduras in many of the same areas as it has been in Haiti but with the addition of a full-time family working in Honduras with the goal to help alleviate poverty and spread the gospel by partnering with local churches and meeting the needs of individuals in dire poverty through infrastructure, education & sustainable agriculture.
We're striving to find new ways to help people both spiritually and physically and are actively researching the root causes of poverty and how we can make a difference in countries around the world.
